Promise of nursing

This project is designed to enhance the teaching capacity of the CSU BSN program by developing and sustaining a program designed to enhance clinical teaching effectiveness, reduce attrition, and improve NCLEX-RN success, thus increasing the number of registered nurses in Georgia.

Goals:
This project is designed to increase the number of Registered Nurses in Georgia by:

Decreasing attrition rate to 15 percent or less.
Increasing NCLEX-RN first time annual pass rates to 90 percent or higher.
Improving full- and part-time faculty satisfaction and confidence in clinical teaching.

This program is funded by a Georgia Promise of Nursing Grant sponsored by the Georgia Hospital Association and Johnson & Johnson.

Facts
This program's main focus is to improve the quality of teaching in CSU's nursing curriculum.
